DE D-DAY DUE DARLING

DDAY01

Gosh! I never knew I had come out with such a tongue twisting title… Haha! Anyway, the D-Day is definitely here for Janice, which in at 9.00am tomorrow. She will be 6 months old next week and I had no choice but to get her “LadyGardenectomy” settled before I am forced to form a kitty football team at home. The boys here have been rather errr… how should I say “horny” as they get older and this would be the ideal choice as a precaution. Janice is still unaware of what is going on but I suspected that she did sense something suspicious going on in the house as she was busily “surveying” the basket I had prepared to bring her home after the operation.

DDAY02

Well, to be frank, I am quite worried. This is the first time I had to go through this experience as all my previous cats were either males or strays. I had never had any lady cat in my house before who will be going through with this type of operation. Just look at what happened to Mama Jessica after I had delayed her operation for other more important priority. She got pregnant again! Moreover, the vet I’m going to is a new vet in my area (not even listed in the local vet directory) but is reputed to be very gentle and loving towards all animals. He is supposedly to be a top veterinarian from Bombay, India. I will pray hard that Janice will go through a smooth operation tomorrow.

We didn't have any problems with our operation. Scylla was sleepy when we got to come home so she crawled up in Mommy's lap and slept all day. I wanted to play so Daddy and youngest boy bean kept me entertained. By the next day we were jumping around as usual. ~ Charybdis

Good luck! ~Scylla & Socks

It's cool you found a great doctor with a good reputation. Janice will be fine. I sure felt better after -- no more howling and feeling weird. All four of us girl Hotties had ladygardenectomies with no purroblem. We'll send lotsa purrs and purrayers tho (lots so you don't worry too much hehehe)

We will all be purring and praying for Janice! Summer, Spats & Sassy all had ladygardenectomies without problems.

Please give our love to all the J's! How are the babies doing??? We need new pictures!

oh Janice, it's ok, all lady cats need to go through a ladygardenectomy. Even Jessica will have one!

Papa Criz, just make sure that she doesn't lick at the incision alot - if she does, get an e-collar for her so she can't reach it. It might get infected if she licks it too much.

Good luck Janice, we are purrin' for you! We have all been through this and we are all males. Since we are indoor kitties only, it's the only way we will get along better together and also, most importantly, NOT SPRAY!! =^Y^=Ty & The Cat Street Boyz

I'll keep Janice in my thoughts and prayers. She will be okay. Hang in there. You are doing the right thing. It also cuts down on any female cancer she could possible form as she gets older...another reason I spade mine early.

I think everything will go well. Purrs.

I think Janice will be very happy that, after her operation, she will not have to worry about having any babies. At the shelter, the cats get spayed or neutered once they reach 3 pounds! They are quite young still, and they do well. The incision is closed with surgical glue, so there are not even any sutures to remove!

I'll be purring for Janice!
I'm sure that she'll come through with flying colors. I think the procedure will be hardest on her Daddy. But, we have all been there and our thoughts will be with you.

All of us dogs & kitties have been through this - either spay or neuter - without complications. We hope you will like your new vet.

Relax, Janice. You'll hurt for a few days, but then you'll be fine. Maybe better, actually. You won't be spending all your time looking for boy cats or tending to kittens. You'll actually get some time to play and sleep and be a kitten yourself.

We're purrrring for you.

We think this will be harder on daddy Criz than on mom Janice...and afterwards you have to worry about additions to the family.

It will be fine. Annie (my mum's cat) was up and about 24 hours later demanding extra treats for being brave. Purrs to Janice!
