The link above is where cat lovers all over the world gathered and share their updates on their pets on every Tuesday. Feel free to drop in if you are a cat lover.

I thought I was the only one getting more white hair each day and dropping some occasionally but it looked like someone else is following my genes. Wait! That can’t be true right? I might be his Daddy but surely Jonathan did not inherit my genes… Haha! Well, I am getting worried too on signs of him losing hair all over his back. Moreover, I think the color of his hair is fading by the day. I see more and more of white hair on him than when he first came into the family. Sign of old age or sign of growing up with a new change of hair?

I have ruled out stress as all he ever did were to eat, sleep, window sighting and running out to play in the grass. Maybe it could be due to some territorial fight he had with the mafia but then he had been staying home for quite some time taking care of Jessica and the kids. I did apply some cream on those spots but still no sign of hair growth. Don’t tell me he is planning to be a bald headed monk for the rest of his life? Hmmm… I better think of something quick before it ever happen.

Anybody has any solution to this hair loss problem? The medication from the vet did not work out. Maybe you have some natural remedy to this?

I feel bad for Jonathan. No one wants to be bald, and kitties are so concerned with their appearance too.

I changed your link! Thanks!

I had the same problem last year with Lisa she was all naked around her neck. Then the vet gave her a shot and the hairs grew back. This year it's even worse she is again completely naked around her neck but also on top of her head and a spot on her back. It also looks like if she looses hair on the legs. Soon she will look like Dragonheart, only he is cute, but she looks like a punk !
She got again a shot, but it's already 3 weeks ago and I don't see a hair coming. But the vet told me it takes some time. It's hormonal I think. I wonder if they both suffer from unfulfilled spring feelings ??

Sorry to hear about the hair loss. :( Unfortunately, we can't be of any help, since we have no fur, and since we are indoor-only cats, so we don't encounter other cats outside.

I'd have him checked b/c he could have mites. Poor Jonathan, he's still very handsome.

Mites, fleas, stress, worms or perhaps an allergy to something you's been treated with. Mommy Beans woofie before me, used to get hot spots (kittys get's it too) and it would cause the woofie to pulls the fur out.

Poor Jonathan, losing his fur :(
No idea what could be causing it.

Do you think he could have ringworm? That's a fungus that causes hair to fall out (just like Lego).

No, I don't know the medecin solution for Jonathan.I hope you will discover the lotion to make he becomes again a young and beautiful cat he was!

Has Jonathan gone to the vet yet? I see Gattina responded, I remember she wrote about something similar happening to Lisa. Maybe Jonathan's having the same hormonal problems, like when some people suffer from low thyroid or high thyroid, ya know?

If the hair naturally fell of, I have no idea of the matter.

Our neigbour cat at our summerhome, looses so much fur every spring/early summer we are sure the cat is very sick. But, during the summer the fur grews back to normal. May be it's the species/race. I have not a clue (unless cat-fights).

May need a trip to the vet. I would agree with tt and Daisy. 13 months is NOT old. I must be nearly 10 years young and I don't consider myself OLD!

You must be the one stressing Johnathan out huh?!?! :P
It's shedding it's fur like dogs? Maybe white is it's "original" color?

Eh, are you still sick? Take care wor :)
