TWO YEARS AGO - TODAY

Times really passed by so swiftly. Within a few blinks, Jimmy has already grown up to be a fine gentleman… errr… cat! Two period of time remained vividly imprinted in my head… 1.37am (Jimmy) and 2.08am (Joey). Jimmy on one hand was the lucky one to be still living happily under my tender loving care. On the other hand, my lovely angel, Joey, left me so unexpectedly that the sadness of losing such a great companion still leaves a deep hole in my heart until now. I missed you Joey… a lot! How I wished both of you could have celebrated this wonderful day together. I missed all the fun and mischievous time you had with your brother when you are alive. Sob~

I might be hallucinating awhile ago but I could have sworn that Joey was here to wish her brother a great two years old birthday. Jimmy was acting rather weird today. He has been fully awake during his usual napping time and kept staring out of the windows. The usually quiet Jimmy has been giving out weird calls as well. I should think less for now as it might be a blessing in disguise to know that my little angel is still overseeing the happiness and health of all the J Family Kitties here. Everything has been so perfect around here for quite awhile without me ever to worry about their health and so on. Let’s pray that it would remain this way forever.

I’m posting this up at 2.08am to mark the birthdays of my two lovely twins. Happy Birthday Jimmy! Happy Birthday Joey!

I WISHED THE SCAR WON’T GO AWAY

I have been hallucinating for the past 3 days… Each time I tried to get some shut eyes, I kept hearing the calls of Joey. Was it the getting use to her calls each morning got stuck in my memory? I’m not too sure as those calls were so crystal clear and it happened right in front of my bedroom many times. Each time I jumped up of my bed and rushed to the door, there were not a single soul in sight. It was weird. It was eerie. Moreover, Joey passed away on the 1st day of the 7th month in the Chinese Lunar Calendar which was the start of the month where the Chinese believed was the opening of the Heaven and Hell’s door for the deceased to visit the living for the whole month. Err…

JOEYBABYJ

I’m still trying to keep myself intact here without thinking too much and it was not easy. I had mood swings very often, so did Jimmy. He still could not get over the demise of his sister. All day long he would just sit next to where her sister was looking really miserable and not wanting to eat much. I can understand his behavior as I had also lost my appetite and moods in doing just anything. It felt like the whole world crumbled apart, squashing us to the ground, not letting us having any thoughts at all in the already solemn atmosphere.

Losing someone close is sad but losing someone that you had helped to come into the world with your bare hands and taking her as if she was your own blood was devastating. I hope I can get over it soon. It has been quite awhile since I had written a long post but I had to do it now to keep my mind occupied to avoid becoming more depress. The next thing I had to do is to keep watchful eyes over Jimmy. It was only 4 days and he has lost a lot of weight. He was not even interested in his favorite KFC. Neither was he taking a lot of fluid. If this goes on, I might need to take him for a check up first thing Monday morning. No matter what, I think I have to take him there too as ever since the day Joey left us, he has been furiously trying to get himself hurt by scratching his head and clawing on hard cement until he bled. Something is surely not really right here. I had given up on all possible explanation to his weird change of behavior. The only thing left for me to do is to make sure nothing serious would happen in this family again.

Could it be due to the twin connection? Some said it was a myth but to me it really exists. While feeding Joey her food and medication few hours before she was gone, she gave me a deep scratch below my left thumb. Barely an hour later, Jimmy scratched me for no reason 5” apart. Was it a coincident? I guessed not as that was not how Jimmy had behaved before. Weird! Many people would want that hurtful scar to vanish as quickly as possible but I want it to remain there forever. It was the last connection I had with Joey and it was the last scratch I had from her. I do not want it to disappear… sob~ sob~ I wished I can hug my baby again… now…

RIPPLES IN MY HEART

Photobucket

I hoped, I prayed and I tried my very best…
But you left with my most fearful enemy
none can avoid… DEATH!
Bringing you into the world with my bare hands
left many smiles and joy in my life…
Your every little moves and actions
made my life more meaningful…
Now what would happen to my faithful
alarm clock when you are no longer here?
Even your twin was not in best performance
ever since you left…
Twin connections… it’s not a myth!
My sea of calm and tranquil water
is now filled with ripples…
Ripples from the endless drops of tears…
and they never seem to be able to stop…
Each drop represents the love I had for you…
It’s for eternity…

R.I.P.P.L.E.S.
Rest In Peace… Pretty Lady… Eternally… Sorrowlessly…

SLEEPLESS NIGHTS CARING MY BABY

This would be my fourth continuous night caring for my baby Joey. She has been under lots of depression after been diagnosed with many liver related complications. If I had not accidentally spotted the orange urine she gave out a few days back, she would have been in a worst condition. Panting furiously, loss of appetite, vomiting, lethargy, noticeable weight loss, inability to lie down, epilepsy and lack of energy to move about were some of the things I had noticed. I’m getting real panicky here. I pray that everything would be back to normal soon although I was informed that I had to keep my fingers crossed to see results in weeks. Syringe feeding her every few hours has been real stressful and it’s tiring me out. I love my baby a lot… please hold on baby… it’s not your time yet… please stay strong… Daddy would always be right by your side… Sob~

JOEYBABY

The heavy panting sound has even scared me further… Please pray hard for us…

PHOTO HUNTERS – LOW

photohunters

This week’s theme is LOW.
There are so many definitions for the word “LOW
and I think I practically covered some of them here.
In this house, there's never a LOW supply of food
to feed the growing “kids”.
You would see what I meant down here…
when hunger strikes!!!

PHOTO HUNTERS – UTENSILS

photohunters

This week’s theme is UTENSILS.
Having many kitchen UTENSILS around can be useful
if you are a good cook with enough of knowledge
to detect what’s right and wrong.
If I were to be a beginner,
Jimmy would have had the worst nightmare of his life…

PHOTO HUNTERS – PINK

photohunters

This week’s theme is PINK.
When you mention about PINK,
there’s always something in this household
that would get every kitties excited.
It’s the PINK bowl that I’ll use to mix their food.
For the last 3 months,
I have been using this PINK bowl on a PINK plate
to mix two types of cat food (with a PINK spoon of course) for them.
They seemed to love this combination of chicken and tuna biscuits
more than the sole chicken biscuits pack
I had been feeding them for more than a year.
I guess I would also be bored with the same food each day too… LOL!
Anyway, candid shots can be taken almost nearing meal time
each day surrounding this PINK bowl…
It caught me laughing with these shots.
Joey could be real cute and hilarious at times…

A YEAR AGO - TODAY

Every second, every minute, every hour, every day and every month for the last one year had brought back many fond memories. They were so small when they first came into this world and they had given me lots of happiness and headaches (which kitten won’t create havoc at home when they were small? LOL!) They are none other than my cute twins, Joey and Jimmy.

TWINS1BD01

Watching them growing up to be such a perfect pair has been real fun. The elder Joey has been a rather quiet one, frequently hiding in mysterious and dark areas in the house, only to appear when there’s smell of any food or even the slightest sound of me opening some snacks. She’s my alarm clock as well, waking me up at 8.30am daily without fail.. Sweat!!! I’ll need more rest dear girl…

Jimmy on the other hand had some unique characteristics. His sense of hearing and smell would be the top amongst the rest, and he’s a great stalker. I wonder how he trained himself to be so alert each time when I’m hungry. Haha! Whenever I’m cooking in the kitchen, he would surely be there giving me that pathetic look in the eyes. Oh… and that ever slurping lips of his, showing his hungriness is so cute! But… I do not know why he’s such a bottomless pit. He will eat many meals a day although he has been well fed. He would put his fangs into just anything edible… including my fingers while feeding him. Ouch! That’s what you call finger food? Haha! What to do? He’s a growing boy. Boy? Hmm… he’s even larger and fatter than Jeremy now and they are barely six months difference in age. LOL!

TWINS1BD02

Anyway, HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO JOEY & JIMMY! I’m off now to get them their favorite KFC (minus the oily skin of course) and McD’s Vanilla Sundae. :P Boy! I sure spoiled them to the extreme! Haha!!

PHOTO HUNTERS – LOCK

photohunters

This week’s theme is LOCK.
The owner of this blog has been LOCKed in
his room by his cats for many days
due to the outbreak of a virus in the house…
and the virus only affects humans…
Here’s what happened…

LOCK01

LOCK02

LOCK04

Frankly speaking, many people would surely LOCK me back in my room if they were to find out that I had secretly sneak out of my room to take some snapshots of my lovely family. Well… more than two weeks being sick in bed is terribly boring and I had never missed out PH ever since I had started… why should I skip this week’s theme?
This site would let you have more information on the virus that I could have contacted unknowingly during my hectic lifestyle few weeks back… Please excuse my absence for the last few weeks too as I was not in the best of health…

A PLACE I WOULD CALL HEAVEN

With a household of nine fast growing up cats, there would always be endless streams of breakages, health issues and vet bills. What more when there are so many innocent strays around my neighborhood which at times would have some emergency issues. I must admit that I have the guilt of not being able to help out all by sending them to the vet for treatments. Most of the time, it would be based on my knowledge and experience handling my J Family Kitties to assist them within my means. It was also lucky for most of them as they were here on God’s will to get a least some comfort in temporary food and lodging. Frankly speaking, not all of them managed to pull through even with my best effort.

RAISINGWHISKERS03

If could have been worst if not for the help of a place I would call heaven. Most of you might not have heard about Raising Whiskers, a website that had so far made me a more knowledgeable person to help out all the basic necessity of those kittens and cats that were in need. Initially, I was quite a panicky person when I see blood on any of my cats, especially when a freak accident happened. One such case was when Joey’s collar got caught on her fang and she was desperately trying to free herself, resulting with injuries on her mouth as well as on her paws. It was quite a bloody scene with splatters of blood all over the floor. Again, I would say there’s surely a guardian angel keeping an eye over their ever mischievous activities. Somehow, I was always there when mishaps happened. Why? I won’t know for sure but indeed with my sacrificing of time to read up almost everything in the website did help me handle my pets better. That indeed did save up some vet costs since the cut was minor.

RAISINGWHISKERS01

If you are free or deciding to recruit a kitten or a cat into the family, I would advise you to check out the website for more information. You could easily find topics related to cats species, kitten/cat care, cat health, cat behavior, cat symptoms, cat medications to making simple and free games for your cats here. It did help me a lot with so many demanding cats in the family and I hope it will help you too. :)

PHOTO HUNTERS – ADVERTISEMENT

photohunters

This week’s theme is ADVERTISEMENT.

ADVERTISEMENT01

I did put up an ADVERTISEMENT last year
to seek adoption for my four-months old kittens.
Times had been really bad then when every single
cents saved would make a great difference.
Somehow, I managed to stretch the funds
not only to keep my beautiful babies but also
to help out some of the needy animals around.
It was a tough job but I felt happy to be able
to lend a helping hand on top of limitations.
Are the kitties happy now?
Why don’t you ask them…

I would also appreciate if everyone could help me in a good cause
by clicking on the ADVERTISEMENT below.
The SPCA would get almost $2 for each vote by us.
Thanks for your compassion and effort to help a pet!

PHOTO HUNTERS – PLASTIC

photohunters

This week’s theme is PLASTIC.
Some people will say “Curiosity kills a cat”.
Well, it may happen when it involved an item like PLASTIC.
For the case of Jimmy and Joey,
it’s definitely not arising from PLASTIC poisoning but
a matter of being honest and truthful between siblings.
Certain things ought to be shared though…
