I gave up! Jimmy has to be sent back to the vet for close monitoring. Here I’m trying to get him back to better health and there he is not cooperating at all. He did take in a small amount of food on his own this morning but medication time was hell for me. Even with my brother holding on to him tightly, he threw out EVERYTHING! He made as if those medications were poison to him, oozing out endless streams of foam. How could he get well when I could not get much medication into him?
This is the result of his stubbornness. His urine color is still as bad as ever. I better put him back at the vet to ensure that everything would be under control again.
By the way, Mama Jessica is celebrating her 5th Birthday today~ Frankly speaking, I’m not in much mood to celebrate with Jimmy’s condition but I guessed I would get her a proper treat later when I get back from the vet. That chocolate truffle is actually my brother, Johnny’s cake as he’s also celebrating his birthday today with Mama Jessica. I’m totally aware that cats or even dogs are not suppose to take in chocolate as it contains high amounts of fat and caffeine-like stimulants known as methylxanthines. If ingested in significant amounts, chocolate can potentially produce clinical effects in cats ranging from vomiting and diarrhea to panting, excessive thirst and urination, hyperactivity, abnormal heart rhythm, tremors, seizures and even death in severe cases.
I could still remember how anxious I was around this time 3 years ago when Mama Jessica gave birth to these beautiful babies. The memories of helping her in labor was the most memorable experience for me. How I wished Justin could be found for this reunion and Jeremy could have been around still to make the celebration as grand as ever. Somehow, I'm still not in the greatest mood this year. I'll just get them something special later on to appreciate how much they have touched my life... Anyway, Happy Birthday Janice & Jayson~ Be in the greatest health and happiness always~ Love ya all always, Dad~
Times really passed by so swiftly. Within a few blinks, Jimmy has already grown up to be a fine gentleman… errr… cat! Two period of time remained vividly imprinted in my head… 1.37am (Jimmy) and 2.08am (Joey). Jimmy on one hand was the lucky one to be still living happily under my tender loving care. On the other hand, my lovely angel, Joey, left me so unexpectedly that the sadness of losing such a great companion still leaves a deep hole in my heart until now. I missed you Joey… a lot! How I wished both of you could have celebrated this wonderful day together. I missed all the fun and mischievous time you had with your brother when you are alive. Sob~
I might be hallucinating awhile ago but I could have sworn that Joey was here to wish her brother a great two years old birthday. Jimmy was acting rather weird today. He has been fully awake during his usual napping time and kept staring out of the windows. The usually quiet Jimmy has been giving out weird calls as well. I should think less for now as it might be a blessing in disguise to know that my little angel is still overseeing the happiness and health of all the J Family Kitties here. Everything has been so perfect around here for quite awhile without me ever to worry about their health and so on. Let’s pray that it would remain this way forever.
I’m posting this up at 2.08am to mark the birthdays of my two lovely twins. Happy Birthday Jimmy! Happy Birthday Joey!
Every second, every minute, every hour, every day and every month for the last one year had brought back many fond memories. They were so small when they first came into this world and they had given me lots of happiness and headaches (which kitten won’t create havoc at home when they were small? LOL!) They are none other than my cute twins, Joey and Jimmy.
Watching them growing up to be such a perfect pair has been real fun. The elder Joey has been a rather quiet one, frequently hiding in mysterious and dark areas in the house, only to appear when there’s smell of any food or even the slightest sound of me opening some snacks. She’s my alarm clock as well, waking me up at 8.30am daily without fail.. Sweat!!! I’ll need more rest dear girl…
Jimmy on the other hand had some unique characteristics. His sense of hearing and smell would be the top amongst the rest, and he’s a great stalker. I wonder how he trained himself to be so alert each time when I’m hungry. Haha! Whenever I’m cooking in the kitchen, he would surely be there giving me that pathetic look in the eyes. Oh… and that ever slurping lips of his, showing his hungriness is so cute! But… I do not know why he’s such a bottomless pit. He will eat many meals a day although he has been well fed. He would put his fangs into just anything edible… including my fingers while feeding him. Ouch! That’s what you call finger food? Haha! What to do? He’s a growing boy. Boy? Hmm… he’s even larger and fatter than Jeremy now and they are barely six months difference in age. LOL!
Anyway, HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO JOEY & JIMMY! I’m off now to get them their favorite KFC (minus the oily skin of course) and McD’s Vanilla Sundae. :P Boy! I sure spoiled them to the extreme! Haha!!
This week’s theme is CREAMY. I might be feeling rather blue these few weeks but there’s something CREAMY that I would not forget especially on such a memorable occasion…

The days flew by real fast and today it is already ONE FULL MONTH for the twins Jimmy and Joey. You can imagine what those two one month old babies can do to the house now? Well, one thing I have in my mind is to change their names to Tarzan and Jane as both of them had never stopped running, climbing and swinging for the last 2 days. The “litter” problem had started all over again in the house and those two were only taking in milk at the moment. I could not imagine what else would be new when they start taking in kitten food. I can complain much too as both of them have grown up to be extremely cute… haha! Anyway, just to share with you some of their birthday shots today.
Actually I do not mind the twins playing with the boys but sometimes they will play until too extreme. This is what happened when you have someone 10 times your size playing with you. It gets too rough!! But… the twins enjoyed themselves a lot!
The triplets, Janice, Jayson and Justin celebrated their 5th month birthday yesterday but Jeremy was kind of moody because he was picked up from the streets without me knowing when he was born. So, I threw the questions to the readers to decide on Jeremy’s birth date. Many proposed that he should celebrate together with the triplets but Katztales suggested that I should check through the CatScope. I was dumbfounded! The results were extremely accurate. So accurate that I need to read a few times just to confirm them.
However, Jeremy could never share the same birth date as the triplets on 4th January 2008 as a Capricorn kitty as his characteristics and behaviors are totally out in the horoscope. So the next possible date would be two weeks before which falls on 20th December 2007. He is a Sagittarius. The result again was so accurate. Gosh… now I have to remember additional 3 dates a year to celebrate with them. Haha! But due to the majority of the comments favoring that Jeremy should celebrate on the same day as the triplets, I guessed I have to made it so but he has to remain as a Sagittarius. :P
Here are the results that I had obtained for Papa Jonathan and Mama Jessica as well as Panther. Did the writer read straight from my mind or it was just coincidental? Please note all the highlighted red wordings and you will know the J Family members better.
CAPRICORN (DECEMBER 22 – JANUARY 19) BIRTHDAY KITTIES: JANICE, JAYSON, JUSTIN More serious and deliberate than most, it's likely that the Capricorn cat will live to a ripe old age. Why? Well, for one, there's no risk-taking behavior going on with this kitty. The Capricorn feline will plod along, amusing itself by watching the other animals as they play to their heart's content. What keeps this creature happy is helping out and working hard. Need someone to attend to those pesky mice? The Cap cat will do it daily. Stable and serene, the Cap feline will appreciate a comfortable home and a happy family. These animals won't need much exercise, either -- for them, work is exercise! This is a cat that really loves to feel needed, so don't be reluctant to dole out those chores. Very self-controlled, the Cap kitty is easy to house-train and will know the importance of following the family rules. Self-reliant as well, this is a cat that will do just fine back home while Mom, Dad, and the kids take a family trip. While the Cap cat doesn't need much touch or love, it does like to be neat and clean, so brush them regularly. Watch their bones and teeth, too, as these areas may require special attention.
SAGITTARIUS (NOVEMBER 22 - DECEMBER 21) BIRTHDAY KITTY: JEREMY Does your Sagittarius kitty seem to be having a good time all the time? That's because this is the happy-go-lucky cat of the zodiac, always playful and jumping around and letting their master know just how delighted they are to be in their home. Extremely energetic as well, this is a feline that would much rather be outdoors, climbing trees and catching birds. This is an animal that can't stand to be cooped up, so don't lock it in inside if at all possible. What the Sag cat excels at is being a scout. That trusty mouse-catcher? A Sag, for sure! Bring your Sag kitty with you while you're gardening or having a bbq, as they are sure to enhance the experience. As Sagittarius is the sign of freedom, be sure that your kitty has plenty of room to roam. These animals like to wander off and enjoy getting plenty of exercise while they're at it. That said, they will always remember that they're part of a family unit, so you needn't worry that they won't return from those nocturnal adventures. Finally, the Sag cat is great with kids, so expect a lot of cuddling!
ARIES (MARCH 21 - APRIL 19) BIRTHDAY KITTIES: JONATHAN & JESSICA Ready for a workout? That's exactly what you'll get from your Aries kitty since this is themost energetic animal who is sure to keep you fit. The Aries feline will do whatever it wants and offer plenty of meowing. Not very good behavior, eh? Oh well, this cat is such a cutie that you're bound to overlook that lack of good manners. Friendly and sweet, your Aries kitty will be in heaven when company comes over, the better to show off its favorite tricks. This is also an assertive sign for a cat, and can be expected to protect your home (as much as that's possible)! While your Aries furball may appear a bit compulsive at times, it's only because they are so action-oriented and revel in a fun-filled day of play, so be sure to let them roam. Competitive, too, your Aries kittycat will want to be the king or queen of the neighborhood, jumping farther and faster just to show everyone how special they are. Keep showing this creature new games (hopefully with new toys!), and their love will be limitless. As Aries rules the head, eyes, and ears, be mindful of these areas on your favorite feline.
SCORPIO (OCTOBER 23 – NOVEMBER 21) BIRTHDAY KITTY: PANTHER You may need to pull back a bit after a stunt of yours goes awry and it may be pretty embarrassing! That's okay, though, because you can recover from almost anything and should be back in action soon. The lone ranger of the kitty kingdom has arrived! The Scorpio cat is more independent than most, but along with that self-sufficiency comes a strong-willed, almost stubborn demeanor. That said, this feline will be extremely loyal once comfortable in the family. Hey, that's true grit. Mysterious as well, the Scorpio kitty could wander off for days in search of adventure yet will always return. What pet would cross three states only to come back to its master in the end? Surely a Scorpio! The Scorpio cat is also emotional and intuitive and can easily sense when things aren't right. If their master is upset, they will surely stay close, the better to comfort you in their own way. Call them nosy? Well, maybe, as this is the kind of kitty that needs to know what's going on, whether it's family dynamics or the contents of the neighborhood garbage cans. Beware of what this feline might bring in the door! The Scorpio cat does things its own way. Simply put, this is one unfussy animal that just wants to find a place to call home.
Errr… I am not sure about the growing up part but to me they are all still kids. In fact, I think I am growing old with more white hair popping up here and there. You want to know why? Just ask the kids. They have been coming up with new and weird tricks that not even their parents would think of. The latest stunt of playing with dish washing sponge almost landed me in hospital. Gosh… if they want to help me with the cleaning of the floor, they should learn how to use the mop! Don’t tell me that this Daddy has to wear crash helmet even in the house? Haha…
Now, here’s what Janice has been doing trying to claim her property. Sit back and enjoy the show.
Oh oh… it sounded like someone is not happy with Janice, Jayson and Justin celebrating their 5th month birthday. Poor Jeremy… I think I ought to set a date for his birthday. I could not decide as he is of a mixed breed and his size is almost as big as Mama Jessica now. To me, I felt that he should be 2-3 weeks older than the triplets. Should I set his birth date earlier or should I just let him share the same birth date with the triplets. Any ideas? Please do let me know in the comment box. Thanks.
Everything turned out real well for Daddy's Birthday Party. The guests enjoyed themselves so much that some of them helped themselves to countless rounds of the food. Some of the kitties were concerned that there would be lots of dishes for us to wash. We, the J Kitties are smart in our party planning. Why do you think we invited beans to come to the party? They are the slaves for cleaning up all the cat litters scattered everywhere from the dining hall, garden until the bathrooms.
There were some who are smart enough to send messages but avoided the party but we managed to captivate four to clear up the mess. :P They are PapaJoneh from East Malaysia, Napaboaniya from Singapore, Annabell from Switzerland and of course Momo’s forever slave SS from Australia. Daddy was spared as he was the man of the day. After all, he had been captivated in a room for seven straight days. Oops…did I just spill that out? :P *** Banging Jeremy’s head ***
Anyway, there was so much exotic food left that we packed takeaway bags for everyone to bring back to their country. Justin designed some cute “for him” and “for her” bags and filled it up with lots of goodies.
Can you guess what else is in the bag? It is a specially designed plaque with our greatest thanks for your time and attendance.
Thank you everyone for taking some time off to fly all the way here to make this party an unforgettable one. Please do not forget to tune in this Saturday and Sunday for the exciting CCSI III – The Missing Mummy Caper, written by Daddy Criz, directed by Opus & Roscoe, produced by Sassy & her Little Productions Team and acted by many of the guests who had visited here earlier.
The J Family members would like to welcome everyone to the party. Make sure that you all had a great time and do enjoy all the food we had prepared for you. Without waiting any longer, let us jump onto our seat and get ourselves comfortable. The party will begin anytime. Please be patience as the food would gradually be served. For those who did not manage to sign in the attendance, please do so after the dinner.
Now let us get the party going. ***Drums roll*** Announcing the arrival of our lovable Daddy! ***soft background music playing*** Ladies and Gentlemen! The meals are served now…
DISH 1: FOUR SEASONS Since everyone is from all parts of the world and had experienced the changes of seasons, it is appropriate to serve this FOUR SEASONS dish. Right at the top clockwise are Catnips (compliment by Uncle Karl), Japanese Stir-fried Baby Octopus with sesame seeds, Tuna Mix with Avocado topped with grilled prawns and Clay Baked Salty Chicken.
DISH 2: CREPE DELIGHT We learned this dish when a friend of ours dropped by from France. Justin and Jayson made the crepe skins and Mama Jess stir fried some marinated chicken and beef cubes in thick creamy mushroom crème and sprinkled with some chopped oregano leaves. Since Papa Jonathan had netted a lot of fresh prawns, we decided to garnish the halved crepe with a grilled prawn each. Don’t you think Janice is so creative with the decoration?
I hope all of you had a great time with the dishes served so far. They will be free flow of Japanese Green Tea to wash out all the oily food and some great beverages such as Niptington, wine and Lizquila compliment by Uncle Karl as well.
DISH 3: INDIAN TANDOORI CHICKEN Mama Jess thought of letting the guests try out her Baked Tandoori Chicken. This authentic Indian cuisine is much loved by the locals here. Whole chicken or choice pieces are marinated in Tandoori sauce plus a bit of yogurt and baked until cooked. It is normally served with Nan Bread but since there are so many dishes served, we did not make any. I am sorry about that burned part of the wings as Jayson forgot to wrap it with aluminum foils before putting the dish into the oven. :P
Ooo… we have a special guest appearance here. Let us welcome the Cole Cats starring Mickey as Cat King Cole and Sassy as Catalie Cole. Please click on the music bar to listen to the oldies :P
DISH 4: MALAYSIAN GRILLED SPICY STINGRAY Mama Jess made this the Malaysian way. She marinated the stingray (compliment by Uncle Karl) with turmeric powder, chili paste and some blended onions. She slowly grilled the fish slices wrapped in banana leaves until it become golden brown. Try garnishing the grilled fish with some Malaysian shrimp paste chili with chopped big onions and lime juice (Sambal Belacan). Warning… this combination can be fiery hot!
DISH 5: INDONESIAN GADO GADO Mama Jess made this dish for those guests who love vegetables a lot. It is an Indonesian salad where the sauce is made from pounded peanuts, some spicy herbs and coconut milk. It is not hot and is suitable even for kids. We had a hard time cutting up all those long beans, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, boiled some eggs and fried some tofu. Actually, we did fry some prawn crackers to go with it but the whole J Family members finished all while watching “Cats and Dogs II” last few nights. :P
DISH 6: KOREAN WINE SAMGYAPSAL I’m sure a lot of you would love BBQ but we are having it the Korean way where we will BBQ our food right at our table. Try Mama Jess’s secret wine marinated ribs, chicken drumsticks and mussels.
DISH 7: EMPEROR’S SEAFOOD NOODLE This noodle dish was meant solely for the Emperor but we managed to smuggle one of the palace’s Chinese Kitty chefs to cook for us today. We love seafood a lot and thus he put lots of juicy squids, giant prawns, clams and abalone in it. We love the creamy taste a lot.
DISH 8: DESSERTS OF THE WORLD As for dessert, we have three different types imported all the way from China, Thailand and Japan. They are the Chinese Prosperity Fish Jelly, Thai Seahorse Jelly Bar and Japanese Taiyaki with hot steaming red bean paste.
DISH 9: BIRTHDAY CAKE: What is a birthday without a cake? Janice made this cake especially for Daddy. The cake comes in a fish bowl with a wooden fish stand. Inside the bowl, the base is filled with assorted flavors of cube cakes, fish shaped candies and filled with yummy Vietnamese Dragon Fruit Jelly. Of course, we lighted ONE CANDLE only. Daddy wants to FEEL YOUNG everyday… hehe
I guessed you do not need to guess after seeing the photo below. She is so famous in the cat blogosphere and everyone would love to give her a hug now. So, let us all remember to wish Princess a happy 17th birthday this coming Tuesday, 15 April 2008. It’s not easy to stay so strong and beautiful at this age and she proved us wrong. Let’s get her into the Kitties Book of Records for having the most wishes.
Now let us have some make-up fun in interviewing the birthday-to-be girl on what she is going to wish for on that special day.
Jayson: Hey Jeremy! What girl? She’s a lady! Grrr… this small kit is bad in English.
Jeremy: What small kit? I’m going to be a man soon in 3 months’ time. Don’t you know that any woman would like to stay, look and feel young always?
Princess: **giggles**
Justin: Cut that craps you guys. I’m doing an interview here! Sorry about that Princess. Should we start?
Princess: No problem handsome… **giggles**
Justin: **blushing** Errr… How do you feel about turning 17 soon, my Lady?
Princess: Well, I feel really excited and happy of course. I got to see many young kits grew up to be really manly and pretty. You see this so and so…. blah... blah… blah… and more blah… blah… blah… **30 minutes later** Don’t you feel glad to know so many cats and kitties in all these years?
Justin: Errr… Wow! That’s a lot Princess. You covered your whole life’s biography in half an hour. That was really very informative and I’m sure you have a lot of fans out there. **quenching his thirst with a glass of fresh milk** Can you tell us how you manage to stay so strong and beautiful?
Princess: That’s my trade secret but I don’t mind sharing some today with all the ladies out there.
Jessica & Janice: **eyes wide open and listen attentively**
Princess: First of all, you need to understand what any bean would look for in us. Do not ever and I mean ever let them caught you with a bad hairdo. We should groom ourselves at least 6 times a day, from behind the ears until the toes. Never ever step or play in dirt as it will stain the beautiful coat we have on. As for my remarkable fitness, I do not simply eat anything that the beans eat. Do you know that we are what we eat? Our choice of food should be of quality and vitamin enhanced. Catnip is a definitely not in my dictionary. Just look at that bean over there **pointing to Daddy Criz munching a bar of chocolate**. Can you imagine how much of toxic food he had put into his body? Look at his size… he’s enormous! I won’t want to tarnish my shapely figure with bean food.
Justin: **sweating** That’s very nice of you to share the tips with us. Would you now like to share with us what you are going to wish for this coming Tuesday?
Princess: Well, I thought I wanted to wish for him to be back by my side but that’s just not possible. Anyway, I have Pierro to accompany me now. Maybe I would wish for a trip to Hawaii. I longed to do that hula dance but I haven’t been going out for a long time. It could be real boring doing nothing and sleep the whole day at home. I need to go out to see that world. Even Daisy has her personal pram and got her bean slave to take her sightseeing upon her demand. Why can’t I? Should I get my bean to buy me some first class tickets to visit my feline friends out there?
Justin: Yea… you should Princess. This is just what my Papa Jonathan has been doing. He has yet to come back from his trip. I have a feeling that I’m going to have more brothers and sisters soon **banging the head against the wall**. Thank you for coming Princess. I hope that you will break the Kitties Book of Record this Tuesday with hundreds or thousands of wishes. Anyway, all of us in the J Family Broadcasting Corporation here would like to wish you a happy 17th birthday, Princess.
My babies (Janice, Jayson & Justin) are all three months’ old today. I thought of taking them out for some strolls along the beach today but the weather has not been promising. On top of that, my friend has been discouraging me to do so as how am I to care for six kitties without having the assurance that they will not get lost in the beach area. Well, he has some senses there for once… haha!
What else can I do? I do not think that I can feed them cakes now that I have found out that chocolate is toxic to the kitty’s body (Cecil would love to hear this :P). I tried canned food and I ended with a long list of vet’s bills with some of them having diarrhea last week. In the end, I have decided to turn their birthdays into a charitable day to feed those homeless strays around the neighborhood. Even Janice agreed to it.
I bought a large pack of Marine Balanced Purina Friskies (Mackeral & Seafood Flavor) with real salmon, tuna and seaweed and went out to distribute the food to the needy strays around the neighborhood. Some people looked at me as if I am crazy or overly rich but I am not. It was just part of my pledges to my babies that I would feed some strays today on their behalf. I just hope that the injured stray will show up as I have yet to see him around for few days. Let’s hope too that I will find as many strays around as the weather today looked rather gloomy.
Maybe I will let the photos paint a clearer picture of what had happened during my round around the neighborhood today. Somehow after the round, there was this unique feeling of happiness glowing inside me. It shows that this should be the kind of feeling you will get if you are willing to stretch out your hands to help any poor souls out there…
