SOME THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

Taking some time off from the blogging world can sometimes be quite relaxing after so much of pressures I had when I had to ensure the health of all the J Family Kitties. Although I could not get far away from home as the kitties still needed me to be around, a stroll down a little sanctuary was so refreshing. The fresh air in the natural habitat, the chipping of birds, the movements of all the little critters within the environment was so inspirational.

I had never felt so content in life; being aware of the little blessings I had, knowing so many great and kindhearted people around the globe. But would that be enough? No, I do not think so. I’m still greedy… greedy to get more people to shower some of their love towards those little blessings that the world had ignored. I would love to see this become a reality and together we should make it happen. Have some thoughts about this…

I AM SCARED OF UNEXPECTED TRIPS

Do you know that Daddy is always very sneaky? He will always pretend to take me out for a stroll but most of the time I ended up at the vet for checkups. I hated that place a lot. There were so many foreign scents in there that made my legs shiver nonstop. “Jon! Where are you? We are going out for a short trip!” Oh no… I better hide myself before he sees me here. Argh! Too late! He had caught hold of me. Help! Somebody please save me!

**An hour later** Phew! I was lucky this time. He just took me to the pet shop to get more cat food. Yummy! He got me two packs of my favorite Tuna and Mackerel cat food and I chose them myself.

We did see some baby woofies in the pet shop. I don’t mind them being around but their barks are so irritating. They are so tiny and yet they can make so much noise. Daddy kept looking at the one with a tiny green ribbon. He almost brought him back home but I objected. I screamed and scratched until he brought me back into the car. Thank goodness! There are already six of us with two more on the way and he still want to get another pet? He must be crazy! Just look at those puppies. I think I can be anytime cuter and more handsome than they are. Hehe…

PHOTO HUNTERS – BAD HAIR

This week’s theme is on BAD HAIR.
Some of you might not know that the J Family has
a half brother over at my parent’s place.
Here’s Bubble, my ever loving Shitzu.
As the weather here has been rather humid these few weeks,
I have taken him for some grooming.
It would also be good too as I would not him
to be all sweaty when he goes visiting QQ later.

Somehow when I told my new groomer that I wanted his hair
to be short so that he would not sweat so much,
he did not get what I wanted in my mind.
It was a BAD HAIR experience Bubble had,
and he has yet to stop his cursing… haha…

Now with that BAD HAIR cut, he has that stare at me all the time…

Haha… I’m not laughing at his BAD HAIR experience. :P
Luckily we kitties do not need haircuts…

PLEASE COME HOME MAMA

It has been more than 24 hours since Mama Jessica got lost. Even the search party of 4 did not find her anywhere within the neighborhood. They have asked all the neighbors and searched through any possible spots that she could have been hiding, but without any luck. Where could she be now? How I wished I am feeling better now to conduct another search party. My fever has gone down a bit (still 100 degrees) and the flu had made my brain so inactive. Each step I had taken made me feel like fainting. I guessed being on a liquid diet of cereal beverage does not help much in giving me the energy I required.

Let me try to recall the past few days before Mama Jessica went missing. She has been acting rather weird (I should have noticed that). Whenever she came back from lazing in the sun, she would call for her babies. But when the babies approached her, she would just paw them away from having more milk. Although she did that quite often, she still play hide and seek with them occasionally, running in and out of the house. Last 3 nights ago, she kept rubbing my legs asking me to let her out after midnight. I said no and she showed me those fangs of hers. It happened so many times that it looked as if both of us were quarrelling. I would let her out of the house but surely not after midnight where there could be some dangerous predators out there.

Even Papa Jonathan has been acting weird too. He has been staying at home all the time and occasionally called out for her. He looked rather sad too. I am still wondering where else she could have escaped to? OMG! Don’t tell me she’s up on the roof again? She did that once before she had the babies and she came back dehydrated and hungry. I will get someone to climb up the roof later as I do not think I am fit to go up there with the frequent dizziness. Let’s pray that she could be found soon as the babies are missing their mummy a lot now.

Daisy is trying to get her paws into the show business. She has some great examples of facial expression for you to judge on her acting skills. CATS ON TUESDAY – WE ARE TWO MONTHS OLD

I just couldn’t believe that my babies are already two months old today. I could still remember the day I helped Mama Jess with her first labor. Janice came out first, followed by Jayson and Justin in about an hour of interval each. Can you believe that such tiny babies have grown up to be such pretty and handsome kittens? I could still remember the first few hours of their births. They were as cute ever since.

Janice has grown to be prettier each day. The marking on her body has emerged to be quite clear now. She is quite identical to her Papa Jon except for her face which looks very pathetic most of the time. She is the cutest of the pack now. She will always sleep on my palms by just a few strokes on her chin.

Jayson on the other hand is the one with the best personality. He will stay calm and well behaved even though the rest of the packs are in a hyperactive mode. He has grown thinner compared to the chubby look he has when he was a few weeks old. His eyes are real electrifying and most of the time he would love to sleep on my lap. He is the favorite of Mama Jess.

Justin is the cheekiest of the whole pack. He will climb up practically anywhere he could get his paws on… even ladders. He hardly sleeps until he gets too tired of fooling around the house. Being the youngest of the pack, he still chase after Mama Jess for milk. Most of the time, Mama Jess will try to hide somewhere higher to avoid meeting him.

HELLO JEREMY MY BABY GARFIELD!

It was barely few hours after Janice left and I ended up with yet another new member to the J Family. I am still wondering who is so cruel to dump a helpless stray kitten in front of my house. This kitten is surely not from this neighborhood as I can recognize any Mummy cats which were pregnant. As an animal lover, I just could not stop myself from running to the distress of the crying kitten.

Oh My God! This tailless long furred kitten is just too cute to be ignored. By the look of its face, fur and prominent orange body marking, it is not any normal kitten. Either it is a pedigree or a mixed pedigree. In fact, it looked just like Garfield. No kitten of this size or age will run away until so far. I even knew all the cat owners around my place and no one has any cats with orange coats. I would believe that it is the fate of this kitty to land itself into this sanctuary. Welcome Jeremy to the family!

The first thing I got hold of Jeremy, he was scratching from head to toes. You can imagine the quantity of fleas he has on his little body. There were hundreds of them running crazily even into his ears. He was just too pitiful to be left in this state and he might even infect the rest of my cats. Although it was already night time, I have no choice but to wash him 6 times in a row, all within 5 minutes to avoid him getting a chill. I later towel dried him and let him wrapped in another towel. I then slowly cleaned his ears, body and between the paws to get rid of any fleas that might escape my anti-flea shampoo.

Alas! I have to skip my regular commenting during the weekend but it was worth it as I have helped another living creature who almost became ignored and homeless. At least Jeremy now has a warm place to sleep in, food to eat and toys to play with. The only problem I am facing now is for the rest of the members to accept him into the family. Well, Jeremy is still young, so are the rest of the kitties. There should not be any problems at all for this barely two months old kitty to adapt himself into the family.
